What this event is about:
 
This face-to-face live seminar will provide details to test and debug automotive designs and other signals using some of the advanced features and measurement capabilities of Keysight’s InfiniiVision 4000 X-Series Oscilloscope.

Subjects to be covered at this seminar include:

     •  InfiniiVision 4000 X-Series oscilloscope overview 

     •  Making measurements and using handy triggers

     •  Decoding and triggering on the CAN bus at a hexadecimal level and using a .dbc file to symbolically decode and trigger on the CAN bus at a message and signal level

     •  Using segmented memory acquisition to capture multiple and consecutive errors

     •  Dual bus “gateway” analysis (CAN and LIN)

 
Fran Paez

Fran Paez has his engineering and masters in business administration degrees from Stony Brook University in New York. Fran joined the Navy and earned his wings as a Naval Flight Officer, where he flew S-3A Vikings in two cruises in the Persian Gulf. Fran left the Navy decorated and embarked on a career in test and measurement where he has held positions in sales, marketing, R&D, and operations. In 2017, Fran joined Keysight where his focus has been on the automotive industry. When he’s not working, you’ll probably find him covered in sawdust on one of his many wood-working projects. He lives with his wife of 36 years and works out of Keysight’s Automotive Customer Center in Novi, MI, USA.
